The Open II class at Pompano was a big night for The Onlyest One. This horse now has six wins out of nine starts, with the three other starts second place finishes for a total earnings of $37,500. Wally Hennessey drove, positioning the horse early in the mile from towards the front of the race, overcoming the 7 hole and a short sprint into the first turn. Sitting on the rail third turning for it appeared as if he would have traffic issues, but Wally found room on the inside for a quick sprint to the lead in the last hundred yards. The 1-1/4 race timed in 2:22.3 last half in 55.3.
